Down Syndrome Awareness: Kaelan

Down syndrome Awareness Month : Payton

Join us in October for Down Syndrome Awareness Month as families from our DSDN Birth support group share,
what they wish others knew about their child with Down syndrome.

Raising a child with Down syndrome is like taking the scenic route instead of the highway. Instead of flying past the exits to get to your destination as quick as possible, we took the back road.

Kaelan has taught us to just enjoy the journey it’s not all about the destination. So we go slowly and take our time, but it’s okay because we get to see things that are breathtaking and aww inspiring. We really get to appreciate and celebrate all that our children do and we’re better people because of it.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Roman 12:2 NIV
