Down syndrome Awareness: Tate

Join us in October for Down Syndrome Awareness Month as families from our DSDN Birth support group share,
what they wish others knew about their child with Down syndrome.
Tate Weston Crabb was born March 4, 2020. He is the youngest of 4, with an oldest sister Haleigh, older brother Tucker, and older sister Whitley.
We knew at 34 weeks pregnant that Tate would have Down syndrome. With the diagnosis came so many questions and uncertainties. He spent 6 weeks in the NICU and has been thriving since.
That being said, there are lots of doctors appointments, therapies, possible complications and hard days but the love and pure joy outweighs it all. We always celebrate victories, no matter how big or small.
Life before Tate parallels my life before getting corrective lenses. I didn’t realize that my eyes weren’t seeing clearly until the contacts were placed and everything was more vibrant than I knew possible. I pray the Lord continues to align my vision, in words and deeds, in all areas that’s unknowingly blurry.
Tate opened our eyes to a world of love we never knew we needed, he blesses the lives of everyone around him, and for that we are forever thankful God trusted us to be his parents. We are all worthy, no labels needed!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Roman 12:2 NIV
